Crochet Your Own Stylish Silk Top with Flower Yoke

Stitch Control:

about 20 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm, made with main ornament with hook 3 mm.

1 pattern of the main ornament = 2 cm.

Main ornament of the top: crochet around from upper edge.

Instructions for Main Ornament:

1st Row:

3 cs, make 1 dc, 1 cs, 2 dc, slip 3 sts back in the same st, * in the next st make 2 dc, 1 cs, 2 dc, slip 3 sts *, repeat from * to * finish with 1 connecting st in 3rd st from the row beginning.

2nd Row:

make 3 cs, 1 connecting st through 1 dc 1 connecting st and continue in the following way: 3 cs, behind cs arch (from 1 cs) make 1 dc, 1 cs, 2 dc. Continue crocheting behind the arches from 1 cs on the whole row = 2 dc, 1 cs, 2 dc, circle the row with 1 connecting st in 3rd st from the row beginning.

3rd Row and 1st Row with Increases:

crochet behind the arch of 1 cs near the marker = 2 dc, 1 cs, 2 dc, 1 cs, 2 dc, 1 cs, 2 dc.

4th Row and 2nd Row with Increases:

crochet behind each of 3 arches from 1 cs = 2 dc, 1 cs, 2 dc.

5th and 3rd Row with Increases:

knit behind each chain of cs (on the whole row) = 2 dc, 1 cs, 2 dc. Repeat these 3 rows with increases to the end of upper edge.

Description of Work:

this top is crocheted around in "sleeve". Start from the upper edge.

Note:

all circle rows start with 3 cs increase, which replace first dc. Finish all the rows with 1 connecting st in the 3rd cs from the beginning of increase. With hook 3.5 make initial st and make a chain of 176 (192) 208 (224) cs, 1 cs increase, change to hook 3 mm and crochet backward 1 dc in each cs = 176 (192) 208 (224) sc, finish the row with 1 connecting st in cs increase. Then crochet around with the main ornament = 44 (48) 52 (56) patterns. Near the arches of cs place 4 markers for reglan increases = between the markers there should be 11 (23) 13 (14) patterns. Beginning of the circle row = in the middle of back.

Crochet totally 12 rows from the upper edge crocheted with sc, divide your work in back/front and sleeves = 17 (18) 19 (20) patterns for each part.

Back/Front

Crochet on the sts of back to the first marker, make a chain of 16 (20) 24 (28) cs, skip the next part (= sleeve), crochet on the sts of front, make a chain of 16 (20) 24 (28) cs and skip the last part (= sleeve). Continue crocheting front and back around with the main ornament = 42 (46) 50 (54) patterns. Finish when the length of your work is 48 (50) 51 (52) cm from the upper edge, crochet with sc.

Flower Yoke:

crochet with hook 3 mm. Start with the flower center. Make the initial st and crochet initial chain of 5 cs, circle 1 connecting st in the initial st.

Crochet Around:

1st Row:

behind the circle of cs crochet (with the end of the thread) 1 sc, * 3 cs, 1 sc *, repeat from * to * = 4 arches of cs.

2nd Row:

behind each arch crochet 1 sc, 1 half sc (hsc), 4 dc, 1 hsc, 1 sc = 4 petals.

3rd Row:

insert your hook back, make 2 cs to get to the middle of the lower side of the 1st petal, * crochet in the middle of the petal (4 dc in the centre) 1 sc behind the arch of 1st row cs, 5 cs *, repeat from * to * = 4 cs arches.

4th Row:

crochet behind each arch of 5 cs = 1 sc, 1 hsc, 6 dc, 1 hsc, 1 sc = 4 petals.

5th Row:

insert the hook back, make 2 cs to get to the middle of the lower side of the 1st petal, * crochet in the middle of the petal (6 dc in the centre) 1 sc behind the arch of the 3rd row, 4 cs, repeat from * to *, circle the row with connecting st in sc of the first petal from the beginning of the row = 4 chains of cs.

6th Row:

crochet behind each arch of 4 cs = 1 sc, 1 hsc, 2 dc, 5 cs for "edge" 2 dc, 1 hsc, 1 sc. Circle the row with connecting st in sc of the beginning of the row = 4 petals with 4 "edges".

Flowers are connected between one another in "edges" 1 connecting st in the center of "edge" and in the centre of the arch of 5 cs. At first, make a row of flowers and circle it = upper row = 19 (21) 23 (25) flowers = the width should correspond to the width of work before pointing the sleeves. Then make the following rows = total 6 (6) 7 (7) rows of flower yoke.

Assembly:

Put yoke on the upper part of your top with the right side and sew. With hook 2 crochet around with "shrimp stitch" the lower edge of your top and sleeves edges = 1 row of sc reversed.
