How to Create a Beautiful Crochet Top with Floral Patterns

You’ll Need:

200g of Open Bay An yarn (100% cotton; 200m/20g) in turquoise color;

20g of the same yarn, but in white color;

10g of the same yarn, but in yellow, light-green, and dark-green colors (each);

Instructions:

Make a pattern design in natural size. Work in 2 threads of yarn, with flowers and leaves using 1 thread.

Back:

Make 120 chain stitches (15 pattern repeats) + 3 chain stitches increase and crochet straight according to scheme 1. At a height of 21 cm from the set-up row, begin making decreases from both sides – ½ pattern repeat x 6 times. Finish your work in 25 cm from the beginning of the set-up row (9 pattern repeats left).

Front:

Make 120 chain stitches (15 pattern repeats) + 3 chain stitches increase and crochet straight according to scheme 1. At a height of 21 cm from the set-up row, start decreasing from both sides – ½ pattern repeat x 8 times. In 27 cm from the beginning of work, crochet straight. Complete the remaining 7 pattern repeats to a height of 12 cm. Leave the central 3 pattern repeats for the neck-hole and bind off ½ pattern repeat x 4 times in every row from both sides.

Assembly:

Make side seams. Fasten the bottom of the top according to scheme 2. Fasten the neck-hole line with 1 row of single crochets, ensuring the chain is to the needed length from the right side. Create the collar according to scheme 3, making 2 button-loops on one side and sew 2 buttons on the opposite side. Decorate the front part with previously made elements following schemes 4-7. Place beads in the center of every large and small flower.
