Knitting Instructions for Your Yarn Project

You’ll Need:

Yarn (50% wool, 50% acrylic or polyamide; 50m/100g);

Circle knitting needles 4.5 (60 cm long).

Important Note:

Make increases in the following way: increase 1 stitch from both sides from the middle 13 stitches by means of yarn over. Knit the yarn over in the new row as curved to prevent holes.

Only right-side rows are stated on the scheme.

Instructions

Work with straight and reversed rows.

Cast on 49 (53) 57 stitches and make 8 rows of garter stitch.

After that (right-side): 1 stitch of garter stitch, 17 (19) 21 stitches of stockinette stitch (13 stitches), 17 (19) 21 stitches of stockinette stitch, 1 stitch of garter stitch.

After that, continue knitting the ornament and increase 1 stitch from both sides on the central 13 stitches. Repeat the increases in every row either on the right-side or wrong-side - 15 (17) 20 times = 79 (87) 97 stitches.

Make 1 row after the last increase. As a result, the length should be 9 (10) 11 cm.

Continue work with garter stitch; after 6 rows of the pattern, bind off stitches at the beginning of every 6 following rows (3 stitches from each side) – 73 (81) 91 stitches.

After making 12 rows, bind off the remaining stitches loosely.
