How to Crochet a Summer Plaid with Butterfly Decoration

You'll Need:
Bright green color yarn, a little bit of yellow and brown yarn;
Crochet hook 2;
Needle.
Instructions
This summer plaid consists of a "Granny Square" motif. The beginning of work is a ring of 6 stitches.
1st Row
3 chain stitches after the slip stitch, 2 double crochets in the obtained ring, finish with 2 chain stitches.
Then, make 3 double crochets and 2 chain stitches, making 2 repeats of this motif. As a result, you should get a square from your ring.
2nd Row
3 chain stitches in the 1st double crochet, 3 double crochets in the arch, 2 chain stitches and again 3 double crochets. Repeat this with each arch. Finish the last arch with 2 double crochets and a slip stitch.
3rd Row
3 chain stitches + 2 double crochets. Repeat the previous succession (3 double crochets, 2 chain stitches, 3 double crochets). Next arch, make 3 double crochets. Repeat these actions along the perimeter of your work.
In the corners of square, use the same succession of 3 double crochets, 2 chain stitches, and 3 double crochets. Make arches on the sides of your square without changes - always 3 double crochets. This is the "Granny Square" motif. The quantity of rows depends on the needed size of the plaid. Fasten the edges of your plaid with yellow yarn: 7 single crochets in 1 arch, 1 double crochet in the second arch, and continue this alternation around your work. Finish fastening with green yarn using the following scheme: 3 chain stitches in every stitch and 1 single crochet.
Butterfly Decoration
1st Row
Make a ring of 5 chain stitches, 3 chain stitches and 1 double crochet, 2 chain stitches, 2 double crochets. Make 8 such repeats to get 16 double crochets;
2nd Row
Slip stitch, 3 chain stitches, 2 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, 3 double crochets under the chain. Repeat these actions under all arches;
3rd Row
Attach brown yarn, make 3 double crochets under the chain of chain stitches, skip 3 lower double crochets, and make single crochets. Make all the other chains using this scheme (totally, 8 chains of brown yarn);
4th Row
Fasten the whole butterfly with yellow yarn. 1 single crochet in 6 stitches of the previous row, chain stitches above it, and picot of 3 chain stitches. Make the butterfly in this way. Fold it in half and fix it with a chain of chain stitches with brown yarn.
