​Cotton Crochet Dress

You'll need:

420g of 100% cotton yarn (250m/100g);

Auxilary yarn;

Circle knitting needles 4;

Crochet hook 2,5.

Stockinette stitch: right-side rows - knit sts, wrong-side rows - purls;

Lace pattern: see the scheme.

Stitches control of stockinette stitch: 21 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10cm.

Instructions

Skirt

Cast on 180 sts with the auxilary yarn and make 4 rows with stockinette stitch. Them make lace pattern with the main yarn for 108 rows (6 pattern repeats). Bind off in 109th row with the help of crochet hook: * 3 sts together, arch of 7 chain sts*; repeat from * to * to end of row. Finish with slip st. Take out the auxilary yarn. Totaly, there are 180 sts, which you should diveid in half: 90 sts for front part and 90 sts for back.

Back

This part is made with stockinette stitch. Make decreases for the waist from both sides: 1 st x 1 in the 5th row, 1 st x 3 in the 10th row. There are 82 sts left. Make increases from both sides in 43rd row from lace edge: 1 st x 4 in the 8th row, 1 st x 3 in the 6th row. There are 100 sts in work.

For forming arm-holes make decreases in the 69th row from the edge of lace from both sides, 3 sts: in even rows 2 sts x 2, 1 st x 2, 1 st x 5 in the 4th row. You should get 72 sts. In 19th row from arm-holes beginning divide the sts in two parts. Make decreases for the neck-hole (see the pattern design) along the inner edge in even rows of 1 st x 21 - see the scheme: knit3tog, 2 yarn overs, knit2tog, 1 selvedge st. There are 15 sts. Bind off the sts in the 61st row from bottom part. Make the next shoulder in reflection to the first.

Front

Make in the same way as bacl. In the 99th row from lace edge divide your work in two parts. For the neck-hole, bind off 1 st x 3 in the even rows along the inner edge, * 1 st in the 2nd and 4th rows*; repeat from * to * 8 times - see the scheme: 1 selvedge st, stockinette stitch, knit2tog, 2 yarn overs, knit2tog, 1 selvedge st. There are 15 sts. Bind off the sts in the 61st row from bottom part. Make the next shoulder in reflection to the first.

Assembly

Sew sides and shoulders. Fasten the arm-holes and neck-hole with the "shrimp stitch" by means of crochet hook.
