- Hook: Any size but I used a 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US.

- Yarn: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU.

- You will need three different colors at least to get the maximum effect of the stitch. One skein of each or most of a skein.

- Each skein was 100 grams / 3.5 oz or 240 meters / 262 yards.
