Instructions

Relief Hat

Work with crochet hook 5 due to the following instructions:

RND 1: 3 chain sts, 7 half double crochets in the 3rd st from the crochet hook, slip st = 8 half double crochets;

RND 2: 2 chain sts, 1 half double crochet in the same st, 2 half double crochets in each st, slip st = 16 half double crochets;

RND 3: 2 chain sts, 1 half double crochet in the same st, (2 half double crochet in the next st, 1 half double crochet in the next st), slip st - repeat these actions = 24 half double crochets;

RND 4: 2 chain sts, 1 half double crochet in the same st, 1 half double crochet in the next 2 sts, (2 half double crochets in the next st, 1 half double crochet in the next 2 sts), slip st - repeat these actions = 31 half double crochets;

RND 5: 2 chain sts, 1 half double crochet in the same st, 1 half double crochet in the next 3 sts, (2 half double crochets in the next st, 1 half double crochet in the next 3 sts), slip st - repeat these actions = 40 half double crochets;

RND 6: 2 chain sts, 1 half double crochet in the same st, 1 half double crochet in the next 4 sts, (2 half double crochets in the next st, 1 half double crochet in the next 4 sts), slip st - repeat these actions = 48 half double crochets;

RND 7: 2 chain sts, 1 half double crochet in the same st, 1 half double crochet in the next 5 sts, (2 half double crochets in the next st, 1 half double crochet in the next 5 sts), slip st - repeat these actions = 56 half double crochets;

RND 8: 2 chain sts, 1 half double crochet in the same st, 1 half double crochet in the next 6 sts, (2 half double crochets in the next st, 1 half double crochet in the next 6 sts), slip st - repeat these actions = 64 half double crochets;

RND 9-17: 2 chain sts, 1 half double crochet in each st around, slip st = 64 half double crochets.

Ears (x 2)

Attach white yarn with 1 single crochet.

RND 1: 1 single crochet in connecting st, 1 single crochet in the next 12 sts, 1 chain st, turn = 13 single crochets;

RND 2: 2 single crochets together, 1 single crochet in each st, 1 chain st, slip st.

Repeat the 2nd row until there is 1 crochet left. Finish your work, skip 21 st of the last row, attach the yarn for the second ear and make in the same way as the first ear.

Fastening

Take red yarn and make single crochets along the hat and ears.

Eyes (x 2)

Make 5 chain sts with black yarn and crochet hook 4, 2 single crochets in the 2nd st from the crochet hook, 1 single crochet in the next 2 sts, 2 single crochets in the last st, don't turn, crochet the following combination from the opposite side of the chain: 1 single crochet in the next st, 1 single crochet in the last st (1st chain st) = 10 crochets. Make the second eye.

Nose

Make 4 chain sts with yellow yarn and crochet hook 4, 2 single crochets in the 2nd st from the crochet hook, 1 single crochet in the next st, 3 single crochets in the last st, don't turn, crochet the following combination from the opposite side of the chain: 1 single crochet in the next st, 1 single crochet in the last st (1st chain st) = 8 crochets.

Ears for Kitty

Make 3 chain sts with 2 threads of white yarn and crochet hook 4.

RND 1: 7 half double crochets in the 3rd st from the crochet hook, 1 chain st, turn = 7 half double crochets;

RND 2: 2 single crochets in the 1st ch, 1 single crochet in the next st, 2 single crochets in the next 3 sts, 1 single crochet in the next 2 sts, 2 single crochets in the last st = 12 single crochets.

Bow

Make 11 chain sts with red yarn and crochet hook 4.

RND 1: 1 half double crochet in the 3rd st from the crochet hook, 1 half double crochet in each st, 2 chain sts, turn = 1 half double crochet;

RND 2-10: 1 half double crochet in each st around.

Assembly

Sew the bow, eyes, nose, and ears to the hat. Make whiskers with black yarn and create straps from 15 threads of red yarn.
