Easy Crochet Pattern for a Beautiful Garment

You’ll Need:

400g of medium weight yarn (100% acrylic) in beige color;

350g of the same yarn, but in light-blue color;

Crochet hook 4;

Beige zipper.

Stitches Control:

14 sts = 10 cm.

Side of motif = approx. 9 cm.

Instructions

Back and Front

Make as one-piece cloth. Make 113 chain sts with beige yarn and work according to scheme 1, alternating the colors of yarn.

At 23 cm height, mark 23 sts for each half of the front, 3 sts for each arm-hole, and 61 sts for the back. Continue work on 23 sts of the right front. At 13 cm height from the beginning of arm-hole, bind off 4 sts for neck-hole and decrease 2 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. At 44 cm height, after getting 14 sts for shoulder, finish your work. Make the left front in symmetry to the right. Turn to 61 sts of back. At 44 cm height, after getting 14 sts for each shoulder, finish your work.

Sleeves

Make 33 chain sts with beige yarn and work according to scheme 1, increasing 9 x 1 st in every 4^th row from both sides, alternating the colors of yarn, resulting in 51 sts. Total height is about 45 cm.

Motifs

Make 20 motifs according to scheme 3. Make 2 light-blue rows and 2 beige rows in half of them. Alternate the color of yarn in reversed order in the rest of the motifs.

Assembly

Connect 10 motifs, alternate their colors, and sew them to the bottom of work, leaving 1 motif open from the right side. Connect 4 motifs and sew them to the edge of the right front, connecting them with the rest of the motifs of the bottom edge in the same way. Sew 3 motifs to the bottom edge of each sleeve, connecting them between one another. Make side seams and sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. For the collar, make 9 rows of single crochets along the neck-hole with beige yarn. Finish the bottom edge of work in the same way. Fasten the edge of the left front with 2 rows of single crochets with beige yarn. Fasten the edge of the right front, neck-hole, and bottom edge of sleeves with 1 row of single crochets with beige yarn. Sew the zipper.
