Instructions
Base
Round 1
Make a magic ring, ch 3 (counts as 1st st), 11 dc into ring. Join with a sl st to the top of 3 ch. (12 sts)
Round 2
Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around. Join. (24 sts)
Round 3
Ch 3, 2 dc in next st, repeat [dc in next st, 2 dc in next st] around. Join. (36 sts)
(For a larger bottle you may work one more round of increase with 48 sts)
Side
Round 4 (Back Loops Only)
Ch 3, dc in the back loop of each st around. Join. (36 sts)
Round 5 (Both Loops)
Ch 3, dc in each st around. Join. (36 sts)
Round 6
Ch 4 (counts as dc + ch 1), dc in same st, **skip 2 sts, [dc, ch 1, dc] in the next st**. Repeat from ** to ** around. Join with a sl st to the 3rd ch.
Round 7
Sl st in next ch-1 space, ch 4 (counts as dc + ch 1), dc in same space, repeat [dc, ch 1, dc] in every ch-1 space around. Join with a sl st to the 3rd ch.
Repeat round 7 until you reach the desired height.
Last Round
Sl st in next ch-1 space, ch 3, 2 dc in same space, repeat 3 dc in every ch-1 space around. Join with a sl st to the 3rd ch. Continue working the strap.
Strap
Row 1
Ch 1, sc in 3 sts. Turn.
Repeat the row until you reach the desired length of strap. Cut off yarn and sew the end of the strap to the sts opposite the beginning of the strap. Weave in the loose end of the yarn.
