Complete Guide to Crocheting and Assembling with Violet Yarn and Bias Tape

You’ll Need:

300g of violet yarn (50% wool, 50% silk; 140m/50g);

Crochet hook 4;

Bias tape 2 cm wide.

Size:

172 cm long x 33.5 cm wide.

Stitches Control:

18.5 sts x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Make 62 chain sts and work according to the scheme. Start every row with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat.

Make 1st-3rd rows once, then, repeat 2nd-3rd rows. Make a slip st only through the front loop of the previous row in the 2nd row. For this, insert the crochet hook, draw the st, and place it upon the stripe of bias tape. Move the bias tape to the end of the row. Draw the stripe of bias tape before the beginning of the 3rd row and make 5 single crochets in every 5 sts in the 3rd row. In 172 cm from the set-up row, finish your work with the 3rd row.

Assembly

Cast on 876 sts with circular knitting needles and make 1 knit st, 1 purl by turn. For better shape, increase 1 st before and after corner st in the corners of every 2nd row. In 7 circle rows from the set-up row, bind off all sts as they face.

Belt

Make 10 chain sts + 2 chain sts increase and work with half crochets, starting every row with 2 chain sts increase instead of the 1st half crochet and finishing with 1 half crochet in the 2nd chain st increase of the previous row. In 170 cm from the set-up row, finish your work.
