Crochet Bra Design Using Grey Elastico Yarn

You’ll Need:

300g of grey Elastico yarn (96% cotton, 4% polyester; 160m/50g);

Crochet hook 3.5;

45 cm of black lace with beads.

Relief Pattern:

The quantity of sts is multiple of 38. Work with circle rows due to the scheme. Start every row with chain st increase and finish with 1 slip st in the last chain st increase.

Rib Pattern:

• 1^st row: 3 chain sts increase, double crochet;
• 2^nd row: 2 chain sts increase, relief double crochets back (1 double crochet, insert crochet hook back around in double crochet of the previous row);
• 3^rd row: 2 chain sts increase, relief double crochets in front of (1 double crochet, insert crochet hook in front of around in double crochet of the previous row).

Make 1^st-3^rd rows once, then repeat 2^nd-3^rd rows.

Stitches Control:

• Relief pattern: 25,5 sts x 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
• Rib: 22,5 sts x 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
• Single crochets: 21,5 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Lower Part:

Make 304 chain sts and circle them in the ring with 1 slip st = 8 pattern repeats and work with circle rows with relief pattern = 280 sts. For better fitting, make the first and last double crochets of the group of sts, marked with letter A in the 8^th row from the set-up row = 16 decreases = 264 sts. Repeat these decreases 4 times in every 8^th row = 200 sts. In 39 cm = 51 rows from the set-up row, work with single crochets, decrease 36 sts in the 1^st row = 164 sts. Finish your work at 4 cm height of single crochets.

Left Half of Bra:

Make 18 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with rib. In 8 cm from the set-up row, make 18 chain sts from the left side and work with rib. Finish your work in 16 cm from the set-up row.

Right Half of Bra:

Make in symmetry to the left half.

Assembly:

Mark the center of the front in the upper edge of the lower part. Make 5 cm with single crochets in straight and reversed rows on the back half. For the right central placket of the bra, work with rib on 5 sts for 15.5 cm from the mark. Make the left central placket of the bra in symmetry. Make bra seams. Sew the back yoke with the bra. Sew bra plackets in the middle of the front for 3 cm. For outer bra plackets, make 5 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with rib. Finish your work in 35 cm from the set-up row. Starting from the center of the back, sew plackets to the upper edge of the back yoke and side seams of the bra. For straps, work with rib on both plackets = 10 sts. At 2 cm length of straps, decrease 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from both sides, make 2 double crochets together. Finish your work at 43 cm length of straps on the remaining 4 sts. Sew the short sides of the straps. Sew lace to single crochets of the front.
