Comprehensive Knitting Instructions for a Violet and Green Yarn Project

You’ll Need:

250 (300) 350g of violet yarn (100% cotton; 180m/50g);

150 (150) 200g of the same yarn, but in green color;

Knitting needles size 3;

Crochet hook size 3.

Used Patterns:

Stockinette Stitch:

In RS row: knit sts; in WS row: purls.

Jacquard Pattern:

The quantity of sts is multiple of 24 + 0 (12) 0 + 2 selvage sts. Work according to scheme 1, draw yarn on WS of work. Both RS and WS rows are stated on the scheme. Start with 1 selvage st and the last 0 (12) 0 sts of pattern repeat, make pattern repeat x 6 (6) 7 times, finishing with 1 selvage st. Make 1st-59th rows x once = totally, 118 rows.

Pattern Order:

0 (4) 8 rows with stockinette stitch and violet yarn, 118 rows with jacquard pattern, 0 (4) 8 rows with stockinette stitch and violet yarn.

Crochet Border Pattern:

Make 28 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work according to the scheme for crochet hook. Start every row with 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st double crochet or 1 extra chain st increase, then, make all sts x once. Make single crochets, double crochets, and treble crochets around chain st of the previous row on the ends of flowers. Make 1st-7th rows x once, then, repeat 2nd-7th rows.

Stitches Control:

Patterns order: 26 sts x 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Crochet border pattern: width in every 7th row x 10 rows = 12 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Back:

Cast on 146 (158) 170 sts with violet yarn and make 1 WS row of purls. Continue work according to the patterns order. In 40.5 cm = 118 rows (43.5 cm = 126 rows) 46 cm = 134 rows from the set-up row, bind off all sts as knit sts.

Front:

Make in the same way as the back.

Assembly:

Make shoulder seams from both sides on 3 (4) 5 cm, leave the next 11 cm open for cuts, then, make 3 (4) 5 cm of shoulder seams and leave 22 (23) 23 cm open for the neck-hole. Fasten the edges of the neck-hole and cuts with 1 circular row of single crochets with violet yarn. Make side seams on 13 (13) 12.5 cm from the lower edge. For plackets, create 2 borders using a crochet hook of 55 cm.
