Crochet Yarn Requirements and Instructions for 8-Year-Old's Garment

You’ll Need:

100g of light-green 100% cotton yarn (170m/50g);

50g of the same yarn, but in white color;

Crochet hook 2.5 mm.

Size:

8 years.

Used Patterns

Pattern for yoke: work according to scheme 1, which specifies straight and reversed rows.

Main pattern: follow scheme 2. Work in circular rows with both straight and reversed rows.

Relief pattern: refer to scheme 3, working with circular rows. Repeat rows 2^nd to 5^th.

Color order: 5 white rows, 20 green rows, 10 white rows, 20 green rows, 5 white rows.

Instructions

Make 63 chain stitches + 3 chain stitch increase with white yarn and work with the pattern for yoke using straight and reversed rows as indicated in scheme 1. The cut will be placed on the back. Increase stitches as stated on the scheme along four raglan lines. After this, proceed as follows: leave 2 parts of the yoke out of work for sleeves, connect the front and both halves of the back into one piece (between raglan lines) and work in circular rows as per scheme 2. At 34 cm height from the set-up row, work the lower part according to scheme 3. At 59 cm height from the set-up row, finish your work above the skirt.

Assembly

Make 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch” along the neck-hole and armholes using green yarn.
