Start with stitches before the first arrow on the scheme, pattern repeat between arrows, finish with stitches after the 2nd arrow. Repeat the 1st - 4th rows.Instructions
Make 56 chain stitches with egg-plant yarn and make the 1st double crochet in the 5th chain stitch from the crochet hook. After that, make the main part of the bag according to the scheme, repeating the pattern 8 times in a row. Make 11 rows in height. For the sides, create a rectangle: 6 double crochets x 8 times. For this, make 9 chain stitches and make the 1st double crochet in the 5th stitch from the crochet hook. Make 1 double crochet in every chain stitch = the 1st row.
Next row: 3 chain stitches increase and 5 double crochets in every double crochet of the previous row. Cut the yarn after completing 8 rows.

Make 1 single crochet in the 1st single crochet at the upper edge of the side. Fasten the flap with single crochets.
