Wavy Pattern:
The quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 3 + 2 selvage sts. Work according to the scheme 1, where only RS rows are stated. Create WS row sts and yarn overs as purl. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, follow pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-6th rows.Stockinette Stitch:
In RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.Relief Pattern:
The quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 3 + 2 selvage sts. Work according to scheme 2, where only RS rows are stated, make WS row sts as they face, yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage st and st before pattern repeat, follow pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-4th rows.Patterns order: 29 cm = 78 rows of wavy pattern, 19 cm = 60 rows of stockinette stitch, 24 cm = 72 rows of relief pattern.
Stitches Control:
- wavy pattern: 22.5 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
- stockinette stitch: 23.5 sts x 31.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
- relief pattern: 23.5 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
Back:
Cast on 115 (125) 135 sts and make 1 WS row of purls. Don’t take this row into account. Continue work following the order of the patterns. To reduce the width, decrease 20 (18) 16 sts in the next 1st row of stockinette stitch at 29 cm = 78 rows from the set-up row, resulting in 95 (107) 119 sts. In 4 cm = 12 rows (2.5 cm = 8 rows) or 1 cm = 4 rows from the last pattern change, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides for armholes. Subsequently, bind off 2 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 73 (85) 97 sts. In 20 cm = 60 rows from the last pattern change, bind off the central 25 (29) 33 sts and finish both sides separately. For a smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. Bind off the remaining 16 (20) 24 sts of shoulders in 24 cm = 72 rows from the last pattern change.
Front:
Work similarly to the back but create a deeper neck-hole. In 10.5 cm = 32 rows from the last pattern change, bind off the central 17 (21) 25 sts. Then, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row, with 2 x 1 st in every 4th row.
Assembly:
Join shoulder seams. For the placket, cast on 128 (136) 144 sts along the neck-hole with circular knitting needles and make 2 circular rows of knit sts. Then, bind off all sts as knit sts. Make side seams. Cast on 90 (94) 98 sts along the edges of armholes with circular knitting needles and create a placket in the same way as for the neck-hole.
