You’ll Need:

200g of white Nako Atlantic yarn (40% wool, 60% acryl; 245m/100g);

100g of the same yarn, but in cherry color;

Knitting needles size 4;

7 buttons.

Size:

M.

Stitches Control:

18 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 82 sts and make 12 rows of 2 x 2 rib. Continue work with stockinette stitch.

After making 15 rows from the beginning of work, decrease 1 x 1 st for better fitting. After making 30 rows from rib, increase 3 x 1 st in every 20th row from both sides for better fitting, resulting in 88 sts. After making 66 rows from rib, create a jacquard pattern according to scheme 1. After completing 112 rows from rib, continue with white yarn to the end of the detail. Simultaneously, transfer the central 32 sts to the auxiliary needle for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately, decreasing 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row for smooth rounding. After making 116 rows from rib, bind off 27 sts for each shoulder.

Left Front

Cast on 40 sts with white yarn and follow the same procedure as for ½ back. After completing 108 rows from rib, bind off 1 x 13 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row from the left side for the neck-hole. After making 116 rows from rib, bind off 27 sts for each shoulder.

Right Front

Make in reflection to the left front.

Sleeves

Construct shoulder seams. Mark 21 cm from both sides of shoulder seams, cast on 75 sts with cherry yarn at this part of the cloth and work with jacquard pattern according to scheme 2. Continue with white yarn, decreasing 16 x 1 st in every 7th row from both sides for chamfers. After making 90 rows with white yarn, work with jacquard pattern according to scheme 3, then make 18 rows of 2 x 2 rib. Bind off sts without tightening. Create another sleeve in reflection to the first one.

Assembly

Make side and sleeve seams. For the left front placket, cast on 5 sts with cherry yarn and work with garter stitch, making the placket at the edge of the front. To do this, * knit 5 sts of placket, draw the 6th st through the selvage st of the front, turn, slip the selvage st, make the next 2 sts together, finish to the end of row, turn*; repeat from * to * until you reach the neck-hole, then leave your work.

For the right front placket, follow the same method, but starting from the 8th row, make 7 button-holes in every 18 rows. Sew buttons securely.
