You’ll Need:

650 (700)g of white yarn (70% wool, 30% alpaca; 70m/50g);

Knitting needles size 6;

Circular knitting needles size 6.

Size:

S (M).

Used Patterns:

Rib Pattern:

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 4 + 2 selvage stitches. For RS rows: 1 selvage stitch, *1 knit stitch, 2 purls, 1 knit stitch*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage stitch.

For WS rows: work according to the pattern; for circular rows: *2 knit stitches, 2 purls*.

Rhombs Pattern:

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 14 + 2 selvage stitches. Work according to the scheme, with only RS rows stated. Complete WS rows according to the pattern. Repeat rows 1st to 20th between pattern repeats.

Stitches Control:

17.5 stitches x 21.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Back:

Cast on 74 (86) stitches and make 4 cm with rib for placket, then increase 12 (14) stitches according to the scheme in the last WS row = 86 (100) stitches. Continue working with the rhombs pattern. At 46.5 cm = 100 rows (51 cm = 110 rows) from placket, bind off 1 x 3 stitches from both sides for shoulder chamfer, then bind off 6 x 2 stitches (6 x 3 stitches) every 2nd row. At the same time, in 48.5 cm = 104 rows (53 cm = 114 rows) from placket, bind off the central 36 (40) stitches along the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For a smooth rounding, bind off 3 x 1 stitch every 2nd row. In 53 cm = 114 rows (57.5 cm = 124 rows) from placket, bind off the rest 7 (6) stitches of the shoulder.

Front:

Work in the same way as the back but create a deeper neck-hole. Bind off the central 30 (34) stitches in 46.5 cm = 100 rows (51 cm = 110 rows) for placket, and then bind off 6 x 1 stitch every 2nd row.

Sleeves:

Cast on 38 stitches for each sleeve and create a placket in the same way as the back, increasing 6 stitches in the last WS row = 44 stitches. Continue working with the rhombs pattern. Simultaneously, increase 4 x 1 stitch every 16th row from both sides (10 x 1 stitch every 6th and 8th row) for sleeve chamfers = 52 (64) stitches. In 37 cm = 80 rows from placket, bind off 1 x 3 stitches from both sides for sleeve cap, then bind off 6 x 3 stitches every 2nd row. In 43.5 cm = 94 rows from placket, bind off the remaining 10 (22) stitches.

Assembly:

Make shoulder seams. For the collar, cast on 84 (92) stitches along the neck-hole with circular knitting needles and work with rib using circular rows. In 10 cm from the beginning of work, bind off all stitches as knit stitches. Sew up the sleeves and make side and sleeve seams.
