Comprehensive Crochet Dress Pattern Instructions

Back

Make 99 chain sts (11 pattern repeats) + 2 chain sts increase and work according to the scheme. At 31 cm height from the beginning of work, decrease 1 st in the edging stripes of double crochets from both sides.

Crochet straight for 5 rows, decrease 1 double crochet in the next 2 rows, crochet straight for 5 rows, then decrease 1 st in the same stripes of double crochets. There are 2 crochets left in the stripes of double crochets. Crochet straight for 10 rows, increase 1 crochet from both sides in the same stripes of double crochets. Repeat these increases for 10 rows. Then, crochet straight to arm-hole. At 71 cm height, bind off 4 crochets from both sides and make a rose-knit, then bind off 5 sts from both sides in a row. Crochet straight for 16 cm, after that, leave central 3 pattern repeats open and finish each side separately. Bind off 4 crochets in the next row from inwards and finish your work in 4 cm. Make the second side in symmetry.

Front

Make 108 chain sts (12 pattern repeats) + 2 chain sts increase and work in the same way as for the back. At 31 cm height, start making decreases and increases in 3 stripes of double crochets from both sides of the central stripe, as described above. For neck-hole, leave the central 3 pattern repeats open for 2 cm lower than the back, then finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 5 crochets in the next 2^nd row from inwards. Finish your work at the height of the back.

Sleeves

Make 45 chain sts + 2 chain sts increase. Crochet straight for 6 rows, then increase 10 x 1 st in every 2^nd row, and 4 x 1 st in every 4^th row from both sides. Include the increased sts in the pattern. At 46 cm height, bind off 5 crochets from both sides and then bind off 1 x 6 sts, and 15 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. At 60 cm height of the sleeve, finish your work. Make the second sleeve in the same way.

Assembly

Make side, shoulder, and sleeve seams. Fasten the neck-hole, bottom of sleeves, and dress with shrimp stitch.
