Crochet Instructions for a Burgundy Mohair Brooch
You’ll Need:
400g of thin mohair yarn in burgundy color;
10g of thin 100% acrylic yarn in yellow color;
Crochet hooks 4 and 4.5;
Pin for brooch.

Back and ½ Sleeves
Start your work from the upper part. Make 193 chain sts with crochet hook 4 and divide sts in the following way: 78 sts for each shoulder with sleeve and 37 sts for neck-hole.
Work according to scheme 1. At 18 cm height, bind off 64 sts for each sleeve from both sides and continue work with 65 sts of the back straight. At 60 cm height, ensuring that the last row is the 3rd or 5th row of scheme 1, finish your work.Front and ½ Sleeves
Lift 78 sts of one shoulder with sleeve along the loose side of the initial chain of the back and work according to scheme 1, increasing 4 x 2 sts in every row for the neck-hole and leave your work. Lift 78 sts of another shoulder with sleeve and crochet in the same way, then, connect sts by making 21 chain sts between them = 193 sts and continue work in the same way as for the back. The total height is about 60 cm.
Assembly
Make side and sleeve seams. Fasten the lower edges of sleeves with the 1st row according to scheme 1.
Brooch
For the circle base, make a ring with yellow yarn and crochet hook 4.5, fastening it with 6 single crochets and make 5 rows of single crochets in spiral, inserting the crochet hook behind the back loop and increasing 6 sts in every row. Finish your work. Make a flower according to scheme 2 with burgundy yarn and crochet hook 4. For the spiral, make a chain of 40 cm long with burgundy yarn and make 1 row of single crochets, making 2 single crochets in every chain st.
Final Assembly
Fold the spiral in half and sew it to the center of the flower. Sew the flower to the circle base. Sew pin from WS. Pin the brooch from the left side.
