Repeat 2^nd-3^rd rows.

Main Pattern

1 knit st, 1 half-patent st (8 knit sts, slip 1 with yarn over as knit st), 2 purls.

Back

Cast on 52 sts with orange yarn and knitting needles 8 using the Italian method and work with the main pattern 1. In 33 cm = 50 rows from the beginning of work, bind off 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes; then, 1 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 40 sts.

In 55 cm = 84 rows from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts from both sides. Then, decrease 10 sts (every 2^nd purl) from the beginning of work and continue with the main pattern 2. In 63 cm = 96 rows from the beginning of work, bind off the central 14 sts and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. In 65 cm = 100 rows from the beginning of work, bind off the rest 2 sts.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with a deeper neck-hole and colorful element. For this element, change to knitting needles 10 in 26 cm = 38 rows from the beginning of work and make 2 rows of stockinette stitch with orange cord, followed by 12 rows of half-patent rib with brown cord, and finish with 2 rows of stockinette stitch with orange cord.

In 55 cm = 84 rows from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts from both sides. Then, decrease 10 sts (every 2^nd purl) and work with the main pattern 2. In 61 cm = 94 rows from the beginning of work, bind off the central 10 sts and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from inwards. In 65 cm = 100 rows from the beginning of work, bind off the rest 2 sts.

Sleeves

Cast on 34 sts with orange yarn and knitting needles 8 in Italian method and work with the main pattern 1, increasing 3 x 1 st in every 20^th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers = 40 sts. In 38 cm = 56 rows from the beginning of work, change to knitting needles 10 and make a colorful element in the same way as for the front. In 44 cm = 66 rows from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts for sleeve caps, and then decrease as follows: 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row, 4 x 1 st in every 4^th row, 1 x 2 sts, and 1 x 3 sts in every 2^nd row. In 60 cm = 90 rows from the beginning of work, bind off the rest 4 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams, sew up the sleeves, and complete side and sleeve seams.
