Knitting a Stunning Sweater with Lana Grossa Nobile Yarn

You’ll Need:

500 (550)g of pink Lana Grossa Nobile yarn (70% merino wool, 30% polyamide; 110m/50g);

Straight knitting needles 6 and 6.5;

Short circular knitting needles 6.

Size:

S (M).

Used Patterns:

Stockinette stitch, circle rows: knit sts.

Structured pattern: the quantity of sts is odd. Work due to the scheme, on which both RS and WS rows are stated.

Stitches Control:

20 sts x 38 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Back:

Cast on 89 (99) sts with knitting needles 6 and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Then, transfer sts to knitting needles 6.5 and work with a structured pattern. In 10 cm from the beginning of work, cast in 1 x 1 st from both sides for side chamfers, then, 3 x 1 st in every 20th (22nd) row = 97 (107) sts. In 33 (34) cm from the beginning of work, bind off 1 x 8 sts from both sides for arm-holes = 81 (91) sts. In 52 (54) cm from the beginning of work, bind off all sts.

Front:

At first, make in the same way as back. In 46 (48) cm from the beginning of work, bind off the central 25 sts for neck-hole. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 3 x 2 sts, 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 52 (54) cm from the beginning of work, bind off the rest 13 (18) sts from each side.

Sleeves:

Cast on 53 sts with knitting needles 6 and make 1 WS row of knit sts. After that, transfer sts to knitting needles 6.5 and work with a structured pattern. For sleeve chamfers, increase 1 x 1 st in every 11th row from both sides, then, bind off 11 x 1 st in every 10th and 12th rows by turn (8 x 1 st in every 10th row and 5 x 1 st in every 8th row) = 77 (81) sts. In 39 cm from the beginning, bind off all sts.

Assembly:

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 105 sts along the neck-hole with circular knitting needles. Cast on 105 sts with short circular knitting needles 6. Work with a circle row of knit sts. In 16 circle rows, bind off all sts loosely. Make side and sleeve seams. Sew up the sleeves.
