Note
This pattern is a repetition of Rows 2-5. The width of the dish towel can be modified by chaining multiples of 6 + 1. The height of the dish towel can be modified by repeating or reducing the times done 2-5.
On Row 5, there are SC stitches added towards the beginning and end of the row between the first/last two DCs and V-stitches.
Pattern
With a 5.00mm hook:
Chain (CH) 49, or in multiples of 6 + 1.
Row Instructions
Row 1: In the second CH from hook, Single Crochet (SC) in each CH and turn your work. (48 SC)
Row 2: CH 3 (counts as first DC), Double Crochet (DC) in the second stitch from hook. DC in each stitch across the row, CH 1 (does not count as a stitch) and turn your work. (48 DC)
Row 3: SC in each stitch across the row and turn your work. (48 SC)
Row 4: CH 3 (counts as DC), DC in the second stitch from hook. CH 1. Skip next two stitches.
DC in the third stitch from hook, CH 1, DC in the same stitch to create a V-Stitch. CH 1. Skip the next two stitches.
Repeat from ** to ** until you reach the last four stitches of the row. DC in the last two stitches. CH 1 (does not count as stitch) and turn your work. (14 V Stitches)
Pattern Note
We are going to be adding a single crochet towards the beginning and end of Row 5, so the stitches will equal 48.
Row 5: SC in the first two stitches. SC in the CH 1 space between the DC and last V-Stitch from Row 4.
SC in the DC of the V stitch. SC in the CH 1 space of V-Stitch. SC in the last DC of the V-stitch. Do not SC in the CH 1 space in between V-Stitches.
Repeat from ** to ** until the end of the row.
SC in the CH 1 space of the last V-Stitch and the last two stitches. Turn your work. (48 SC).
Continuation
Rows 6-43: Repeat Rows 2-5. You should be ending on a SC Row!
To make a longer dish towel, keep repeating Rows 2-5 until you reach your desired length.
