Materials Needed
I’m using Scheepjes Stone Washed XL #4 medium weight yarn as well as a 4mm crochet hook. You can use any yarn or hook size you prefer for this stitch tutorial; whatever you have is good. Just have fun!

Notes
- This hugs and kisses crochet stitch is a 2-row repeat (Row 2 and Row 3).
- This hugs and kisses stitch is in a multiple of 3+5 chains.
Can use in row or round. For the following written instructions, I’m going to make in a row. For the following written instructions, I’m using 2 colors, but you can use only 1 color or more than 2 colors. You can change color however you want, every row, every other row; it’s up to you.
Hugs and Kisses Crochet Stitch Written Instructions
Row 1 Color A (RS)
ch 32, sk 5 ch (first 3 ch that you skipped count as 1 dc), 3 dc into next ch, *sk 2 ch, 3 dc into next ch* REP from *TO* until you have 2 ch left, sk next ch, 1 dc into last ch, cut the yarn.
Row 2 Color B (WS)
Turn, make slip knot and insert hook into the loop, 1 sc into first st, *sk 3 dc and make 1 dc into the space between the third dc that you skipped and the next dc, ch 1, 1 dc into the space between the first dc that you skipped and the next st* REP from *TO* across, end the row with 1 sc into the last st/the ch st, cut the yarn.
Row 3 Color A
Turn, add new yarn into the first sc, ch 3 (count as 1 dc), 3 dc into each ch 1 sp across, end the row with 1 dc into last st, cut the yarn.
REP Row 2 and Row 3 for the remainder of the project.
