1st and every odd rows (RS): knit;

2nd row: 5 purls, 3 knit sts, * 9 purls, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 5 purls;

4th row: 4 purls, 5 knit sts, * 7 purls, 5 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 4 purls;

6th row: 3 purls, 3 knit sts, 1 purl, 3 knit sts, * 5 purls, 3 knit sts, 1 purl, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 3 purls;
