Finishing
American Flag:
Add Stars to blue section, either stitching or embellishments. Attach handle to the outside of the cozy; Fold the end of the strap under and sew it to R15, then fold the other end under and sew it to R1, this creates a loop or mug style handle. Hide all strings.
Eagle:
Attach R1 of beak to front center between R14&15, so that the tip of the beak lands between two spike stitches. Attach eyes over R14-15, leaving one stitch between eyes and beak. Attach top of wings to R10 down to R8 on the outside of a spike stitch (there should be 2 spike stitches between beak and wing). Attach feet to R1 of sides, centered between wings, leaving one stitch between them. Attach handle to the outside of the cozy behind preferred wing; Fold the end of the strap under and sew it to R15, then fold the other end under and sew it to R1, this creates a loop or mug style handle. Hide all strings.
Top Hat:
