  • dc = double crochet

Pattern

Chain 45

Row 1 (White)

Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across, don’t cut yarn, sl st next rows color to next row, ch 1, turn.

Row 2 (Blue)

Sc in each stitch across, end color (cut and pull through).

Row 3 (White)

Return to start of previous row, sl st other color up the side of the blanket to the start of row, ch 3, dc in each st across, ch 1, turn.

Row 4 (White)

Sc in each dc across, ch 3, turn.

Row 5 (White)

Dc across row, don’t cut yarn, sl st on second color, ch 1, turn.

Row 6 - 29

Repeat Rows 2-5.

Row 30 (Blue)

Sc in each stitch across, DO NOT END COLOR.

Row 31 (White)

Return to start of previous row, sl st other color to start place of row, ch 3, dc in each st across, Do not end color.

Border (Worked in Rounds)

Round 1 (Blue)

Return to end of row 30, working along edge of blanket, (ch 2, sc) in each sc row along edge. For top and bottom of blanket sk two st between (ch 2, sc), sl st into 1st chain on start ch 3. End color.

Round 2 (White)

Return to yarn left on row 31, sl st into closest ch 2 space, ch 3, 2 dc into same ch 3 space, *(3 dc) in next ch 3 sp repeat from * around blanket CORNERS (2 dc in corner sc).

Finish the blanket by weaving in ends.
