Rep Rows 2-5 of first half until second half of shawl measures approx. 30” from center back, ending with Row 2. Fasten off.
Chain Fringe
Attach yarn at right corner of one short end of shawl, *ch 11, sl st in 2nd ch from hk and in ea of next 9 ch, sl st in next 4 ch on end of shawl, rep from * across, ending with sl st in last st. Fasten off.
Repeat chain fringe at other short end of shawl. Fasten off and weave in all tails.
Finishing
If necessary, lightly block shawl by dampening it with cool to lukewarm water, then roll in towel to absorb excess moisture. Spread dry towels out on a flat space, lay shawl on top of towel and smooth out lace pattern. Cover with more towels and leave to dry.
