How to Create a Beautiful Knit and Crochet Top with Estrella Yarn

Lace Pattern

Crochet hook 6: the quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 1 + 2 chain sts increase. Work according to scheme 1. Make 1st-6th rows x once, then, repeat 3rd-6th rows.

Relief Pattern

Knitting needles 9: the quantity of sts is multiple 9 + 2 + 2 selvage sts. Work according to scheme 2, on which both RS and WS rows are stated. Repeat 1st-4th rows.

Special Decreases

1 selvage st in the beginning of the row, purl2tog, purl2tog in the end of the row, 1 selvage st.

Stitches Control:

Lace pattern: 14 sts x 5.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Relief pattern: 13 sts x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Front and Back

Make 123 (163) chain sts and work with lace pattern. In 62 cm from the set-up row, finish your work. Cast on 112 (148) sts along the upper edge with knitting needles 9 and work with relief pattern, starting with st before pattern repeat after 1 selvage st. Start with st before pattern repeat, pattern repeat x 11 (15) times and finish with sts before selvage st and sts after pattern repeat = 12 (16) pattern repeats. In 63 cm from the set-up row, decrease 14 x 1 st in every 4th row with special decreases.

In 72 (68) cm from the set-up row, bind off purls from both sides between 3rd and 4th pattern repeats (4th and 5th pattern repeats) and 9th and 10th pattern repeats (12th and 13th pattern repeats). Bind off 3 x 1 (2) sts from both sides in every 2nd row. At 20 (24) cm height of armholes, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 2 x 4 sts from both sides in every 2nd row for shoulder chamfers (1 x 5 sts and 2 x 6 sts). At the same time as the beginning of shoulders, bind off the central 18 (20) sts for the neck-hole and bind off 1 x 2 (1) st and 1 x 1 st from both sides.

Right Front

Continue making decreases for neck-hole from the right side. Bind off 3 x 1 (2) sts in every 2nd row from the left side. Make shoulder chamfer in the same way as for back at the same height.

Left Front

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Assembly

Make all seams. Make button-loop of 5 chain sts in the beginning of relief pattern. Sew buttons.
