Crochet Garment Instructions: Colorful Stripes and Patterns

You’ll Need:

300 (350) 350g of white Samea yarn (72% cotton, 20% viscose, 8% linen; 105m/50g);

100g of the same yarn, but in orange color;

100g of the same yarn, but in yellow color;

100g of the same yarn, but in blue color;

Crochet hook 3.5mm;

5 buttons.

Used Patterns:

Main Pattern:

The quantity of stitches is multiple of 6 + 1. Work according to the scheme. Start with stitches before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after pattern repeat. Make 1^st-12^th rows once, then repeat 5^th-12^th rows.

Note: Change the colors in the 4^th and 12^th pattern repeats.

Stripes order, main pattern: * 2 white rows, 2 yellow rows, 2 white rows, 2 blue rows, ** 2 white rows, 2 orange rows, ** 2 white rows, 2 blue rows; repeat from * to *.

Stitches Control:

22 stitches x 10.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

For the placket, make 37 (43) 49 chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase with white yarn and work according to the stripes order. For size M, start stripes order from ** and for size L from **.

In 4 cm = 4 rows from the set-up row, make 102 chain stitches for the left side for side seam and work with the main pattern = 151 stitches. At the same time, increase 9 x 1 stitch in every 2^nd row (9 x 1 stitch in every 2^nd and 3^rd rows by turn) for shoulder chamfer = 160 stitches.

In 22 cm = 23 rows (26 cm = 27 rows) 29.5 cm = 31 rows from the side seam, mark the center of back and continue work in symmetry, make decreases instead of increases.

Left Front:

Start in the same way as the back, but at 17 cm = 18 rows (21 cm = 22 rows) 24 cm = 25 rows from the side seam, finish your work.

Right Front:

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Assembly:

Make side, placket, and shoulder seams. Fasten the neck-hole and edges of front with 1 row of single crochets with white yarn, and make 5 button-holes for the right front. Sew buttons.
