You’ll Need:

250g of purple (3001) of Lana Grossa Divino yarn (75% cotton, 25% viscose; 110m/50g);

150 (200)g of the same yarn, but in blue color;

100 (150)g of the same yarn, but in dark-grey color;

Knitting needles 4 and 4.5;

Circular knitting needles 4.

Size:

S (M).

Used Patterns:

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Stripes order: * 14 blue rows, 14 dark-grey rows*; repeat from * to *;

Plaited pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple of 8 + selvage st.

1st row: knit;

2nd and all even rows: purl;

3rd row: knit;

5th row: 1 selvage st, * leave 4 sts on the auxiliary needle in front of work, 4 knit sts, 4 knit sts from the auxiliary needle*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st;

7th and 9th rows: knit;

11th row: 1 selvage st, * leave 4 sts on the auxiliary needle behind work, 4 knit sts, 4 knit sts from the auxiliary needle*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st.

Repeat 1st-12th rows.

Stitches Control:

Stockinette stitch: 20 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Plaited pattern: 26 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Make back and front to arm-holes with circle rows: cast on 168 (184) sts in criss-cross way in 2 threads of blue yarn with knitting needles 4. Circle your work in the ring and make the beginning of circle row = left side line. Work with stockinette stitch due to the stripes order. Divide your work in the last 98th circle row: bind off 2 sts, make 80 (88) sts = front, bind off 4 sts, make 80 (88) sts = back, bind off 2 sts. Leave sts of front. Then, work on sts of back.

Back:

Work with plaited pattern with purple yarn, increase 34 sts in the 1st row = 114 (122) sts. Decrease 1 st in the 3rd row of plaited pattern from both sides for arm-holes: 1 selvage st, knit2tog, 2 knit sts, 104 (112) sts of plaited pattern = 13 (14) pattern repeats, 2 knit sts, 1 broaching, 1 selvage st. Repeat these decreases in every 2nd row of 3 x 1 st = 106 (114) sts. In 21 (22) cm from the beginning of arm-holes, bind off all sts in the 6th or 12th row of plaited pattern.

Front:

Make in the same way as back. In 15 cm = 49 rows of plaited pattern = after the 9th crossing, bind off the central 24 sts in the 50th row for neck-hole and knit separately, bind off 4 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 21 (22) cm from the beginning of arm-holes, bind off the rest 32 (36) sts of each shoulder in the 6th or 12th row of plaited pattern.

Sleeves:

Cast on 40 sts in 2 threads of blue yarn in criss-cross way with knitting needles 4 and work with stockinette stitch due to the stripes order for 98 rows. For chamfers, increase 6 x 1 st in every 14th row (8 x 1 st in every 12th row) = 52 (56) st. Then, work with plaited pattern with purple yarn and knitting needles 4.5, increase 22 (26) sts in the 1st row = 74 (82) sts. For further sleeve chamfers, increase 4 x 1 st in every 2nd and 4th rows = 82 (90) sts. In 4 cm from the beginning of plaited pattern, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides for sleeve cap, then, decrease 19 x 1 st, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 4 sts in every 2nd row (1 x 2 sts, 19 x 1 st, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 4 sts in every 2nd row). In 14 (15) cm from the beginning of cap, bind off the rest 20 (24) sts.

Assembly:

Make shoulder, side and sleeve seams.
