Complete Guide to Crocheting a Light-Blue Malva Pullover with Detailed Instructions

You’ll Need:

450g of light-blue Malva yarn (50% cotton, 50% viscose; 350m/75g);

Crochet hook 2.

Size:

S.

Used Patterns:

  • Bead: 4 double crochets in 1 base stitch.

Instructions:

Front/Back:

Work according to scheme 1, making squares with roses sized 37 squares wide and 33 squares high, with roses placed in the center of each square.

Connect squares at the shoulder seams with 2 chains of 37 chain stitches. After that, continue working on the right side from the shoulder and squares, then make the left side from the other shoulder. Create the first row with empty squares, adding beads in every 4th square, starting from the 2nd row. Alternate rows with beads and rows with empty squares. Make 13 rows this way from both the left and right sides – this forms the yoke. Create 20 chain stitches along the bottom of the yoke for armholes, connecting the front and back of the yoke. Then, create the lower part of the pullover around. Make 2 squares from every 2nd square. Work by alternating empty squares with beads, continuing this way for 26 cm. Finish with a row of single crochets and secure the bottom of the pullover with 1 row of “shrimp stitch.”

Sleeves:

Make 106 chain stitches.

1st row: empty squares;

Add beads starting from the 2nd row. At 16 cm from the setup row, bind off 4 cm from one side and 3 cm from the other side for armholes. Starting from the 32nd row, make decreases by binding off 1 square every 2 rows from both sides to form sleeve caps, and continue this way until completion. At 37 cm height from the beginning of work, finish it.

Assembly:

Sew up the sleeves. Secure the neck hole in the same manner as the bottom of the pullover, and the edges of sleeves according to scheme 2.
