Special Stitch

dc5tog = double crochet 5 together - To make a dc5tog, work 5 dc in the next stitch but leave the last loop of each dc on the hook, resulting in 6 loops on the hook. Yo and pull through all 6 loops.

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 4 + 1 + 2 chain stitches increase.

Row Instructions

1st Row (RS)

Sk 3 ch (count as 1 dc), dc into each ch to end, turn;

2nd Row

Ch 1, sc into each of the first 2 sts, *work dc5tog into the next st, sc into each of the next 3 sts: rep from * to last 3 sts, work dc5tog into next st, sc into each of the last 2 sts, turn;

3rd Row

Ch 3 (count as 1 dc); dc into each st to end, sk tch, turn;

4th Row

Ch 1, sc into each of the first 4 sts, *work dc5tog into next st, sc into each of the next 3 sts; rep from * ending sc into the top of tch, turn;

5th Row

Repeat as the 3rd row.

Repeat the 2nd-5th rows to continue the pattern.
