How to Create Colorful Yarn Eggs in a Cardboard Box
You’ll Need:
Odds of beige, pink, green, red, yellow, and blue color yarn;
Crochet hook 2;
Cardboard box.
Instructions
Fasten the cardboard box with pink yarn. For the bottom, make 40 chain stitches and circle them in the ring. Work with double crochets, making 4 double crochets in every 10th stitch in the 1st-2nd rows and 2 double crochets in the 3rd-7th rows.
Make the 8th row in the following way: * 5 double crochets in 1 stitch, skip 2 stitches of the previous row, single crochet, skip 2 stitches of the previous row.*
Make grass with drawn stitches using 2 threads of green yarn: make 22 chain stitches and work with single crochets. Draw stitches in the WS row in the following way: throw the yarn on the first finger, insert the crochet hook in both loops of the top of the lower crochet. Catch the working yarn with the first finger and draw the stitch. Catch the slipping yarn with the crochet hook and draw it through both stitches on the crochet hook, but don’t draw the stitch. Make a piece of work of 11 x 1 cm.
Make an egg with white yarn: circle 3 chain stitches in the ring.
1st row: 6 single crochets in the center of the ring;
2nd-8th rows: single crochets, increase 3 stitches;
9th-12th rows: single crochets, increase 2 stitches;
13th-17th rows: single crochets;
18th-19th rows: single crochets, decrease 2 stitches;
20th row: single crochets, increase 3 stitches;
21st-24th rows: single crochets, decrease 5 stitches.
Fill in with stuffing and tighten the remaining stitches with working yarn.
Make 4 eggs. Fasten each egg with single crochets in different colors of yarn. You can decorate them with a flower: make 3 chain stitches in the ring, followed by 10 single crochets in the center of the ring.
1st row: (1 single crochet, 2 double crochets, 1 single crochet) in one stitch, single crochet in the next stitch. Make 5 petals this way.
Assembly
Put stuffing at the bottom of the box, followed by the grass. Finally, place the eggs on top.
