Knitting Instructions for a Dust-Pink Sweater


You’ll Need:
500g of dust-pink (50% cotton, 50% viscose);
Knitting needles 4.5.
Size:
S-M.
Note:
Work in 2 threads of yarn.
Used Patterns:
Double Rib:
*1 knit st, slip 1 purl, yarn in front of work*; repeat from * to *;
Main Pattern:
Due to the scheme.
Stitches Control:
19 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
Back:
Cast on 75 sts and work with the main pattern. In 10 cm from the set-up row, bind off 3 x 1 st in every 10th row from both sides for better fitting. In 22 cm from the set-up row, increase 3 x 1 st in every 6th row from both sides. In 32 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 6 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides for arm-holes chamfers. In 52 cm from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.
Left Front:
Cast on 57 sts and work with the main pattern. In 10 cm from the set-up row, bind off 3 x 1 st in every 10th row from both sides. In 22 cm from the set-up row, increase 3 x 1 st in every 6th row. In 32 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 6 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides for arm-holes chamfers. In 52 cm from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.
Right Front:
Make in symmetry to the left front.
Sleeves:
Cast on 49 sts and work with the main pattern, increase 3 x 1 st in every 20th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers. In 26 cm from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, then, decrease 18 x 1 st in every 2nd row after the first 2 sts and before the last 2 sts. In 42 cm from the set-up row, bind off all the rest sts.
Assembly:
Make shoulder seams; sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams. Cast on 270 sts along the edges of front and neck-hole, make 4 rows of double rib and bind off all the sts with kitchener’s stitch. Make 2 cords 140 and 50 cm long and sew them to front.
