Instructions
Placket
Make 32 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with relief pattern. In 101 cm = 91 rows (110 cm = 99 rows) 119 cm = 107 rows from the set-up row, finish your work. Fasten the long left side of the placket with 1 row of single crochets from WS. At first, make 44 (49) 53 single crochets on the first 22 (24) 26 rows, place marker, make 89 (98) 107 single crochets on the next 46 (50) 54 rows, place marker, make 44 (49) 53 single crochets on the last 23 (25) 27 rows, add 1 (0) 1 chain st for the center, and circle your work with 1 slip st = 178 (196) 214 sts. Cut is the middle of front.
Back
Work with the main pattern upon 89 (98) 107 single crochets = 29 (32) 35 V-double crochets + 2 double crochets. In 13.5 cm = 10 rows (17 cm = 13 rows) 20 cm = 15 rows from the placket, decrease 9 sts from both sides for arm-holes = 71 (80) 89 sts. In 36 cm = 27 rows (41 cm = 31 rows) 46.5 cm = 35 rows from the placket, finish your work.
Front
Work on the remaining 89 (98) 107 sts in the same way as for the back, but with a neck-hole. For this, in 29.5 cm = 22 rows (34.5 cm = 26 rows) 40 cm = 30 rows from the placket, leave the central 21 (24) 27 sts and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, decrease 3 x 3 sts in every row from inwards = 16 (19) 22 sts.
Sleeves
Make shoulder seams; make 80 (86) 95 single crochets along every arm-hole. Then, work with the main pattern = 26 (28) 31 V-double crochets + 2 selvage sts. In 6 cm = 5 rows from the beginning of the sleeve, decrease 3 sts from both sides for sleeve chamfers. Then, decrease 3 x 1 st in every row and 12 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 44 (50) 59 sts. In 42 cm = 32 rows from the beginning of sleeves, divide your work in half for cut and finish both sides separately. In 55 cm = 42 rows from the beginning of the sleeve, finish your work.
Collar
Make 26 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase for the right part of the collar and work with the relief pattern to arrow A. In 55.5 cm = 50 rows from the set-up row, finish your work. For the left part of the collar, make 20 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern. In 24 cm = 18 rows (26.5 cm = 20 rows) 29 cm = 22 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.
Assembly
Make side and sleeve seams. Sew the left part of the collar with the left long side from WS to the neck-hole from WS, ensuring that the center of the long side matches with the left shoulder seam. Sew the right part of the collar with the right long side to the neck-hole in the same way. Turn the collar and sew buttons.
I'm new to using this type of pattern so I can't figure out what I am doing in row line 4&5.
