Fancy Pattern

Due to the scheme, use knitting needles 5. There are only odd rows on the scheme, while even rows are based on the ornament. Repeat the pattern horizontally (22 sts) the needed number of times and from the 3rd to the 42nd rows vertically.

Stitches Control of Fancy Pattern

14.5 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Start by working from the left sleeve. Cast on 35 sts and make 4 cm of rib. Use the 1st and last sts of the row as selvedge sts. Then, switch to the fancy pattern using the brioche technique.

Begin with point A on the scheme.

Knit edging sts in the rows as selvedge sts.

For sleeve widening, increase 1 st x 10 in every 6th row, and 1 st x 12 in every 5th row from both sides. Include the increased sts in the pattern.

At a height of 44 cm from the rib, cast on an additional 26 sts from both sides and then knit straight. After 18-20 cm from the beginning of the front and back, divide the work in half.

Transfer the sts for the back to an auxiliary needle. Bind off 1 st x 3 in every 2nd row, then 2 sts x 2 for the neck-hole of the front part. Next, knit 30 rows with straight cloth. Increase 2 sts x 2, 1 st x 3 in relation to the neck-hole.

Take the previously left sts of the back and resume working on them. For rounding the neck-hole, bind off 2 sts x 1, then 1 st x 1. Knit straight to match the size of the front. Make increases on the reflecting part of the back neck-hole in the reversed order.

Connect the sts of the front and back into a one-piece work and knit according to the design pattern. Work the right sleeve in reflection to the left.

Rib on Waist

Lift 82 to 90 sts along the edges of the front and back and knit 3 cm of rib. Bind off the sts.

Assembly

Make the pattern design in natural size. Pin your work to the pattern design. Lift 76 to 84 sts with circle knitting needles and knit 10 cm of rib. Bind off the sts.

Finally, make side and sleeve seams.
