Complete Instructions for a Stylish Knitted Garment

You’ll Need:

950g of thick 100% acryl yarn in dark-pink color;

50g of the same yarn, but in light-pink color;

Knitting needles 5 and 6;

Crochet hook 2.5.

Size:

Used Patterns:

• Garter stitch: knit;
• Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;
• Flower: due to the scheme.

Stitches Control:

14 sts x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm (knitting needles 6).

Instructions:

Back:

Cast on 77 sts with knitting needles 6 and work with dark-pink yarn, making 4 rows of garter stitch and 4 rows of stockinette stitch by turn. Decrease 5 x 1 st after 1 selvage st in every 18^th row from both sides = 67 sts. At 67 cm height, decrease 6 x 1 st after 1 selvage st in every 2^nd row from both sides for arm-holes = 55 sts. At 90 cm height, bind off 14 sts for each shoulder, 27 sts for neck-hole and finish your work.

Right Front:

Cast on 43 sts with knitting needles 6 and dark-pink yarn, making 4 rows of garter stitch and 4 rows of stockinette stitch by turn. Make decreases in the same way as for back. At 67 cm height, bind off 6 x 1 st after 1 selvage st in every 2^nd row for arm-hole = 32 sts. At 80 cm from the beginning of work, bind off 9 sts for neck-hole from the opposite side, 2 x 3 sts, 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. At 90 cm height, bind off 14 sts for each shoulder and finish your work.

Left Front:

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Sleeves:

Cast on 37 sts with knitting needles 6 and work in the same way as for back. At the same time, increase 7 x 1 st in every 10^th row from both sides. At 52 cm height, decrease 6 x 1 st after 1 selvage st in every 2^nd row, then 3 x 4 sts and bind off the rest 15 sts. Total height is about 64 cm.

Collar:

Cast on 82 sts with knitting needles 5 and work with garter stitch. At 13 cm height, bind off the sts and finish your work.

Assembly:

Make all the seams, sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. Lift 138 sts along the edges of each front with knitting needles 5 and make 8 rows of garter stitch, then bind off the sts. Sew the collar to the neck-hole, leaving the half sts of every placket free. Make 25 flowers due to the scheme with the help of crochet hook and sew them to the collar and lower edge of sleeves with dark-pink yarn.
