Crochet Sweater Instructions and Patterns

You’ll Need:

200 (250) 300 g of white Bandola yarn (78% cotton, 22% polyamide; 150m/50g);

150 (150) 200 g of the same yarn, but in beige color;

Crochet hook 5.

Size:

S (M) L.

Note:

Make front and back together across through shoulders. Make the right side strip at the same time, left side strip – later in work. Then, make plackets.

Used Patterns

Main Pattern:

The quantity of sts is multiple 5 + 1 + 3 chain sts increase. Work due to the scheme 1. Start every row with 3 or 1 chain st increase instead of the 1^st double crochet or single crochet and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Repeat 1^st-14^th rows, make 7 rows of white and beige yarn by turn. In the 5^th, 7^th, 12^th, 14^th rows, make single crochets chain sts of the previous row, in the 6^th and 13^th rows – make single crochets between single crochets of the previous row, this also refers to every 2^nd group of double crochets in the 8^th row and every 1^st row.

Pattern for Plackets:

Work according to scheme 2. Start every circle row with 1 chain st increase instead of the 1^st single crochet and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts before the beginning of circle row, 1 slip st in the chain st increase. Make 1^st-4^th rows once, then repeat the 3^rd-4^th rows.

Stitches Control:

• Main Pattern: 17.5 sts x 7 rows = 10 x 9 cm;
• Pattern for Plackets: 17.5 sts x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back and Front:

Start from the left side. Make 166 (166) 176 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase with beige yarn and work with the main pattern = 33 (33) 35 pattern repeats. In 9 cm = 7 rows from the set-up row, at first, make front of the first 13 (13) 14 pattern repeats = (65 (65) 70) sts. In 36 cm = 28 rows from the set-up row, finish your work. Then, make back on the last 13 (13) 14 pattern repeats in the 7^th row. Leave the central 7 pattern repeats in 7^th row + 1 st for the symmetry for the neck-hole line open. In 36 cm = 28 rows from the set-up row, make 36 chain sts between front and back with beige yarn and work with the main pattern on all the sts = 33 (33) 35 pattern repeats. In 45 cm = 35 rows from the set-up row, make 6 (8) 10 x 6^th and 7^th rows of the main pattern from the right side of the strip with white yarn. In 52 cm = 47 rows (54 cm = 51 rows) 56 cm = 55 rows from the set-up row, finish your work. Make left side strip along the set-up row with white yarn in the same way. In 7 cm = 12 rows (9 cm = 16 rows) 11 cm = 20 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.

Assembly:

Connect the sides on 30 (29) 30 cm with a crochet hook with white yarn, make 1 single crochet and 3 chain sts by turn. For lower placket, join white yarn to the side seams and work with the pattern for plackets = 13 (15) 17 pattern repeats for front and back. In 11 cm = 20 rows from the beginning of the placket, finish your work. For neck-hole placket, work with the pattern for plackets with white yarn.
