How to Knit with 100% Woolen Yarn: Step-by-Step Instructions

You’ll Need:
2 skeins of 100% woolen yarn (250m/100g);
Knitting needles size 3.
Instructions
Cast on 13 sts and make 8 cm of garter stitch. Then, starting from the 9th row, increase the sts in the following way: 1 selvage st, 5 sts of garter stitch, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 5 sts of garter stitch, and finish with 1 selvage st.
Make WS rows according to the ornament, using yarn overs as cross purl st. Continue doing yarn overs in all subsequent RS rows, i.e., increase sts after garter stitch and before it. WS rows according to the ornament should use yarn overs as cross st. Repeat these rows until you have 39 sts on the knitting needle.Next, mark the central 9 sts and create the toe round in the same way as for the heel: knit 15 sts, then knit the 9th and 10th sts together. Turn your work, knit 8 sts, and then knit the 9th and 10th sts together, continuing this until only the central 9 sts are left on the knitting needle.
Cast on the selvage sts from the edge of the toe, which equals 18 sts from each edge. You will have a total of 45 sts on the knitting needles. Divide them as follows: 1 selvage st, 5 sts of garter stitch, 1 purl, 4 sts of “twist”, 1 purl, and 21 sts of stockinette stitch. Then, follow with 1 purl, 4 sts of “twist”, 1 purl, 5 sts of garter stitch, and finish with 1 selvage st. Replace the sts in “twist” every 4th row: leave 2 sts in front of the work on an auxiliary needle, knit 2 sts, and then knit 2 sts from the auxiliary needle. Make WS rows according to the ornament. In total, you will complete 36-40 rows. Make the heel in the same principle as the toe, marking the central 9 sts. Finish with the last 8 rows in garter stitch and bind off the sts. You can decorate as you like.
