Crocheting a Beautiful Lavender Puntino Top

You’ll Need:

400 (450)g of lavender Puntino yarn (100% cotton; 160m/50g);

Crochet hook 3.5 mm.

Size:

S (M).

Note:

Make front and back as a one-piece cloth.

Used Patterns

Lace Pattern:

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 33 + 10 + 3 chain stitches increase. Work according to scheme 1. Start with stitches before the pattern repeat, pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after the pattern repeat.

Net Pattern:

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 3 + 2 + 3 chain stitches increase. Work in the same way as the lace pattern, but according to scheme 2. Make the 1^st - 3^rd rows, then, repeat the 2^nd and 3^rd rows.

Fringe:

1^st row: single crochets;

2^nd row: * 1 single crochet, 1 picot, skip 1 stitch*; repeat from * to *.

Stitches Control:

Lace pattern: 23 stitches x 11.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Net pattern: 25 stitches x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Make 274 (307) chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase and work with lace pattern. In 20 cm from the set-up row, decrease 9 (10) x 1 stitch; for this, make 2 double crochets together in every group of double crochets. Repeat these decreases at 30 cm and 36 cm from the set-up row. In 42 cm from the set-up row, make 209 (227) single crochets, then, work with net pattern. In 18 cm from the net pattern, divide your work into back and front.

Back

Initially, make the back on the central 40 (44) cm, leaving 1 x 2 cm and 2 x 1 cm in every row from both sides for armholes. In 32 cm from the beginning of the net pattern, leave the central 12 cm for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, leave 1 x 2 cm and 1 x 1 cm in every row from inwards. In 35 cm from the beginning of the net pattern, complete your work.

Right Front

Make the right front on the first 20 (22) cm; create the armhole from the right side, as for the back. Simultaneously, leave 1 cm from the left side for neck-hole chamfer and 16 x 0.5 cm in every row. Finish your work at the height of the back.

Left Front

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams; fasten the edges of the front with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch.” Fasten the neck-hole and armholes with fringe. Fasten the lower edge with the 2^nd row of fringe. For the string, create a chain of 150 cm long.
