How to Knit a Cozy XXL-XXXL Sweater with Angora Yarn

You’ll Need:

700g of white Angora yarn (40% mohair, 60% acryl; 500m/100g);

Knitting needles 4;

Circle knitting needles 4;

14 sts x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 98 sts and work with 1 x 1 rib for 22 cm. Then, work according to the scheme.

Increase 3 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row, 2 x 3 sts, 2 x 10 sts, 1 x 11 sts (196 sts). At 66 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off the central 14 sts for the neck-hole and finish both parts separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 2 sts from both sides from inwards. At 71 cm height, bind off the rest 87 sts of shoulder and sleeve.

Front

Make in the same way as the back, but create the neck-hole at 37 cm height from the beginning of work. Divide your work in half and make each side separately: bind off 1 st from inwards for the neck-hole, then perform 10 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. At 71 cm height, bind off the rest 87 sts of shoulder and sleeve. Make the second half in reflection to the first one.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 118 sts with circle knitting needles along the neck-hole from the right side and make 7 cm of rib, then bind off the sts loosely. Make 1 row of double crochets along the sleeve edges using the crochet hook. Lastly, complete the side seams.
