You’ll Need:

550 (600) 600g of white yarn (51% cotton, 49% polyacryl; 79m/50g);

Knitting needles 6 and 7;

Circular knitting needles 6.

Size:

S (M) L.

Used Patterns

  • 2 x 2 rib (with knitting needles 6);
  • Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 8 + 1 + 2 selvedge sts. Work with knitting needles 7 due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated.
    Make all the sts and yarn overs of WS rows as purls. Start with 1 selvedge st, sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat, 1 selvedge st, then, repeat 1st-16th rows.

Stitches Control:

Relief pattern: 12.5 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 56 (64) 72 sts and make 12 cm of rib, increase 3 sts in the last row = 59 (67) 75 sts.

Then, work with relief pattern and in 56 cm from rib, bind off the central 17 (17) 19 sts for neck-hole. Finish each part separately.

For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts in the next 2nd row from inwards. In 58 cm from rib, bind off the rest 18 (22) 25 sts of shoulder from each side.

Front

Make in the same way as back, but with a deeper neck-hole. For this, bind off the central 9 (9) 11 sts in 53 cm from rib, and 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 32 (32) 40 sts and make 13 cm of rib, increase 3 sts in the last row = 35 (35) 43 sts, then, work with relief pattern.

At the same time, increase 10 x 1 st from both sides in every 6th row for sleeve chamfers (8 x 1 st in every 6th row and 4 x 1 st in every 4th row). 10 x 1 st in every 6th row = 55 (59) 63 sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 34 cm from rib, bind off all the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 60 (60) 64 sts with circular knitting needles along the neck-hole line. Then, make 1 circular row of purls and 8 cm with rib, then, bind off the sts due to the ornament. Sew up the sleeves and make side and sleeve seams.
