Detailed Crochet Instructions for Poncho and Top



You’ll Need:
For Poncho:
- 250g of black Manuela Elfi yarn (100% viscose; 265m/50g);

- Poncho: S-L;

Used Patterns for Poncho
Main pattern: the quantity of stitches is multiple of 12 + 9 + 3 chain stitches increase.
Work according to the scheme. Start every row with 3 or 1 chain stitches increase instead of the 1st double crochet or 1st single crochet and stitches before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with stitches after pattern repeat.
Repeat 1st-4th rows once, then repeat 3rd and 4th rows.
Stitches Control:
34.5 stitches x 15.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Poncho
Make 117 chain stitches and work with the main pattern. In 74 cm from the set-up row, finish your work. Make 2 details. Make seams according to the pattern design.
Used Patterns for Top
Main pattern: the quantity of stitches is a multiple of 8 + 1 + 1 chain stitch increase.
Work according to the scheme. Start every row with 1 or 4 chain stitches increase instead of the 1st single crochet or 1st treble crochet and stitches before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with stitches after pattern repeat.
Repeat 1st-7th rows once, then repeat 2nd-7th rows.
Stitches Control:
44 stitches x 35 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Top
Back
Make 177 (193) chain stitches + 1 chain stitch increase and work with the main pattern. In 37 cm from the set-up row, make decreases for armholes from both sides (start from the 12th row). Finish your work in 42 cm from the set-up row.
Front
Make in the same way as the back, but with a round neck-hole. For this, in 42 cm from the set-up row, leave the central 9 cm and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, make decreases inwards according to the scheme (start from the 13th row) until you reach the width of the strap. Finish your work in 72 cm from the set-up row.
Assembly
Make seams, sew the straps to the back armholes. Twist the edges of the front neck-hole from shoulder to shoulder, leaving 10-15 cm ends. Then, bind these ends with each other.
