How to Knit a Stylish M-L Sweater




You’ll Need:
750g of yarn (50% cotton, 50% viscose; 120m/50g);
Straight and circle knitting needles 3 and 3.5.

Work with the main pattern according to scheme 1. Placket pattern consists of 1 row of knit stitches followed by 1 row of purls. For the yoke, follow scheme 2 with the right side circle row, and for the wrong side circle rows, follow the ornament, making yarn overs as purls.
Back
Cast on 98 (106) stitches with knitting needles 3. Make 7 cm of 2 x 2 ribbing. Increase 35 (37) stitches in the last row. Then, work with the main pattern and knitting needles 3.5. After 32.5 cm from the beginning of work, bind off 2 stitches from both sides, then bind off 1 stitch x 8 times and 2 stitches in every 2nd row by turn. Leave the stitches when the total length reaches 39 cm.
Front
Make in the same way as the back.
Sleeves
Cast on 50 (54) stitches with knitting needles 3. Continue work with ribbing for 6 cm. Increase 29 (25) stitches in the last row of ribbing. Continue work with the main pattern and knitting needles 3.5, starting from the arrow on scheme 1. For the sleeve chamfer, increase 1 stitch x 16 in every 6th row. After knitting 40.5 cm from the edge of the detail, bind off 2 stitches in every 2nd row, 1 stitch x 8 times and 2 stitches x 8 times by turn. There should be 83 stitches on the knitting needles. Leave the stitches at a height of 47 cm.
Make the second sleeve in the same way.
Yoke
Collect all the remaining stitches on the circular knitting needles 3.5. In the next row, knit stitches. Then, connect the selvedge stitches and knit 2 together x 11 (12) times. In total, there are 361 (380) stitches. Continue work with the placket pattern. Turn to circular knitting needles 3 after finishing the 2nd scheme and make 2 cm according to the placket pattern. Decrease 2 stitches x 6 in the 5th circle row.
Connect the details with the Kitchener stitch.
