Knitting Instructions for Stylish Top with Linie 11 Alpha Yarn

You’ll Need:

350 (400) g of bright-pink Linie 11 Alpha yarn (100% cotton; 104m/50g);

Knitting needles 3.5;

Crochet hook 3 and 3.5.

Used Patterns

Relief Pattern

Due to the scheme 1, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows according to the ornament, yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage stitch, pattern repeat, finish with stitch after pattern repeat and 1 selvage stitch.

Lace Pattern

Due to the scheme 2. Start every circle row as stated, pattern repeat, finish with 1 slip stitch in chain stitch increase. Make rows 1^st-8^th once, make the 1^st row with crochet hook 3, all the other rows – with crochet hook 3.5.

Stitches Control:

Relief pattern: 25 stitches x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Lace pattern: 21 stitches = 10 cm.

Instructions

Front/Back

Cast on 115 (131) stitches and work with the relief pattern. In 40 cm from the set-up row, bind off 5 stitches from both sides for armholes, 1 x 4 stitches, 1 (2) x 3 stitches, 1 x 1 stitch and 3 x 1 stitch in every 2^nd row. In 8 cm from the beginning of arm-hole, bind off the rest of the stitches.

Assembly

Make side seams. Make 68 (73) single crochets, connecting them with the help of 44 (53) chain stitches (= 1^st row of the scheme) and make 7 rows of lace pattern for the lace yoke along the upper edge of the front and back. Fasten armholes with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch”.
