Knitting a Stylish Wrap with Glitter Threads

You’ll Need:

150 (150) 200g of white 100% cotton yarn;

2 bobbins of glitter threads in golden color;

Circle knitting needles 3.5 (80 cm long);

5 buttons.

Length: 44 cm

Bottom width: 130 (152) 174 cm.

Garter Stitch:

All knit stitches.

Relief Pattern:

Due to the schemes M1 and M2;

Button-holes are made on the right front – knit the 3^rd and 4^th stitches from the middle together, 1 yarn over above the obtained stitch. The interval between button-holes is 5 cm.

Stitches Control:

Main pattern: 22 stitches x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

This wrap is made with straight and reverse rows using circle knitting needles.

Cast on 333 (389) 445 stitches with 2 threads of yarn – main yarn and glitter. Make 1 row of knit stitches on the wrong side. In the next row: 5 stitches of garter stitch (placket), *6 knit stitches, slip 1 stitch as a knit stitch, knit 2 together, draw it through the slipped stitch, 5 knit stitches*; repeat from * to * until the last 5 stitches, then 5 stitches of garter stitch. You should have 287 (335) 383 stitches. Make 1 row of purls on the wrong side.

In the next row: 5 stitches of garter stitch, 12 stitches according to the scheme M1 A, 252 (300) 348 stitches according to the scheme M1 B, 13 stitches according to the scheme M1 C, and 5 stitches of garter stitch. Make 1 pattern repeat M1 in height plus 1 pattern repeat to the row, marked with an arrow on the scheme. You should achieve a height of 35 cm.

Continue making decreases according to the scheme M2: 5 stitches of garter stitch, scheme M2, until there are 6 stitches left. Include the first stitch in the pattern of the first 10 rows, then switch to stockinette stitch, finishing with 5 stitches of garter stitch. Continue work according to the scheme M2. As a result, there will be 126 (146) 166 stitches at 43 cm length. Make 6 rows of garter stitch on all the stitches.

Bind off the stitches. Sew the buttons onto your completed wrap.
