You’ll Need

300 (350) 400 g of mixed content yarn with 50% cotton (95m/50g) – letter B on the scheme;

300 (350) 400 g of 00% polyamide yarn (125m/50g) – letter S on the scheme;

Knitting needles 5;

Crochet hook 3.5.

Used Patterns

Stockinette Stitch

In right-side rows – knit stitches, in wrong-side rows – purls;

Rows with Holes

Even quantity of stitches. Work according to scheme 1.

Repeat the pattern between selvedge stitches. In height – 1st-14th rows.

Relief Pattern (Yarn B)

The quantity of stitches is multiplied by 19 + 1 + 2 selvedge stitches. Work according to scheme 2.

Make wrong-side rows according to the ornament, yarn-overs – as purls. Start with 1 selvedge stitch, then pattern repeat, stitch after it, and 1 selvedge stitch. Repeat 1st-10th rows.

Order of Patterns on Back and Front Parts

35 cm = 98 rows with holes, 1 cm = 2 rows of stockinette stitch, 26 cm = 60 rows of relief pattern, increase 3 stitches in the 1st row and decrease these stitches in the last row. 15 cm = 42 rows with holes, 2 cm = 4 rows of stockinette stitch; totally, 79 cm = 206 rows.

Order of Patterns on Sleeves

30 cm = 84 rows with holes, 1 cm = 2 rows of stockinette stitch, 26 cm = 60 rows of relief pattern; totally, 57 cm = 146 rows.

Lace Placket

This detail is made by means of the crochet hook: *1 single crochet, skip 2 base stitches, 7 double crochets in the next base stitch*; repeat from * to *, finish with 1 slip stitch in the 1st single crochet.

Stitches Control

  • Rows with holes: 14 stitches x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm square;
  • Stockinette stitch: 14 stitches x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm square;
  • Relief pattern: 14.5 stitches x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm square.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 76 stitches and work according to the previously described scheme. After 19 cm = 44 rows of relief pattern, decrease 3 stitches from both sides for the arm-holes, then 2 stitches x 1 in every even row, 1 stitch x 2 = 65 stitches and after finishing relief pattern – 62 stitches.

In 5 cm = 42 rows = 2 rows with holes, bind off 7 stitches from both sides for shoulder chamfers and 6 stitches x 2 in every even row.

Bind off the central 12 stitches at the level of chamfers beginning and finish each part separately. Bind off 6 stitches in every 2nd row for neck-hole rounding.

In 2 cm = 4 rows of stockinette stitch, bind off the rest of the stitches.

Left Front

Cast on 38 stitches and work according to the previously described scheme. Make arm-holes and shoulder chamfers according to the description of back.

At the same time, in 62 cm = 160 rows after relief finishing, decrease 1 stitch from the left side for neck-hole and then 1 stitch x 11 in every 4th row. For decreases knit 3rd and 2nd stitches from the end together.

Right Front

Make in reflection to the left front. For the neck-hole decreases knit the 2nd and 3rd stitches together with broaching: slip 1 stitch as knit stitch, 1 knit stitch, draw it through the slipped.

Sleeves

Make 34 stitches and work according to the previously described scheme. Increase 1 stitch x 12 from both sides in every 10th row = 58 stitches. Include the increased stitches in the ornament.

After knitting 48 cm – 126 rows from the 1st row, decrease 3 stitches from both sides for the cap and 2 stitches x 1 in every 2nd row, 1 stitch x 4, 2 stitches x 2, 3 stitches x 1, 6 stitches x 1. In 57 cm = 146 rows, bind off the rest 14 stitches.

Assembly

Make seams: shoulders, sleeves, and sides. Fasten all the edges with lace placket by means of the crochet hook and yarn S.
