Complete Guide to Knitting a Beautiful Lamp Shade: Materials, Instructions, and Assembly Tips

Materials Needed

You'll need:

  • 100g of yarn (50% polyamide, 25% wool, 25% acryl; 66m/50g);
  • Knitting needles size 5.5;
  • Auxiliary knitting needle for cables.

Size Specifications

Size: diameter - 20 cm, height - 15 cm.

Stitch Control

Stitches control: 17 sts x 25 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm.

Instructions

Cast on 114 sts and knit with a fancy pattern, repeating the pattern of 16 sts 7 times. Finish the row with 2 purls. At 15 cm height, bind off the sts loosely.

Assembly Instructions

Make seam. Pull the lamp shade and fix it by means of double-sided tape (1 lace in upper part, 1 lace in lower part). You can change the diameter up to your lamp.

The length in expanded form is calculated in the following way: lamp shade diameter x 3.14.
