Rib Pattern

Cable Pattern

Make with straight knitting needles according to the scheme, which only states the right-side rows. Make the wrong-side rows according to the ornament. Repeat rows 1^st-12^th in height.

Stitches Control

Wrong side: 23 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 180; 190; 200 sts and start work according to the following description: 1 selvedge st, 35; 40; 45 sts – wrong side, 3 pattern repeats of rib, 35; 40; 45 sts – wrong side, 1 selvedge st.

After knitting 146 rows, you’ll get 114; 124; 134 sts. Continue work according to the following description: 1 selvedge st, 35; 40; 45 sts – wrong side, 3 pattern repeats of cable, 35; 40; 45 sts – wrong side, 1 selvedge st.

At 60; 59; 58 cm from the 1^st row, bind off 3 sts x 1 from both sides, 2 sts x 2, 1 st x 7. Then, decrease 1 st x 2 in every 4^th row. There are 82; 92; 102 sts left.

Starting at 76 cm height, make neck-hole. Bind off the central 42; 50; 58 sts, then, bind off 4 sts x 1 in every 2^nd row and 1 st x 3 along the forming side.

At 80 cm height, finish your work and bind off the rest sts.

Front

Make in the same way as the back. The only difference is the deeper neck-hole. For this, bind off the central 26; 34; 42 sts at 67 cm height. Then, for smooth rounding, bind off 5 sts x 1, 3 sts x 1, 2 sts x 1, 1 st x 4 in every 2^nd row along the forming side. Then, bind off 1 st x 3 in every 4^th row.

Knit the front part to the needed size, the same as the back. Finish work and bind off the rest sts.

Assembly

Make all the seams.

Lift 132; 136; 140 sts (= 60; 62; 64 sts of back + 72; 74; 76 sts of front) with circular knitting needles 4.5 along the neck-hole line. Make 1 row of purls and bind off all purls.

Lift 91; 94; 97 sts along the edge of each arm-hole. Make 1 row of purls and bind off all purls.
