Complete Guide to Creating a Beautiful Flower Crochet Pattern with Border Techniques

The quantity of sts is multiplied 5 + 4.

Start with CH 3 (counts as 1 DC). Make 1 DC in each of the next 3 sts. 2 DC in the next st.

Flower Instructions

Using the 2 DC as a "stitch ring", RPT {CH 2, 1 DC in ring, CH 2, SLST in ring} twice on the 1st DC. Rotate and RPT {CH 2, 1 DC in ring, CH 2, SLST in ring} twice on the 2nd DC.

Facing work in the normal position, CH 2, 1 DC in ring, CH 2, SLST in ring. CH 1 (tightly). 1 DC in each of the next 4 sts.

RPT flower across the row.

Adding Borders

If using a border around the blanket, place 2 DC in each corner and make a flower in each corner. Fasten off and weave the ends.
